The first Japan-made forklift truck

As primary means of industrial goods transportation, forklift trucks play major roles in the material-handling fields of every industry worldwide.

Forklift trucks were first innovated as industrial vehicles in the U.S. as early as the 1930s. Subsequently, during the 1940s after the World War II, the conception of forklifts as a handy and efficient material-handling equipment spread worldwide, and Japan was not an exception.

In 1949, Mr. N. Niwa established TCM (originally founded as Toyo Carrier Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and later renamed Toyo Umpanki Co. before being known as TCM Corporation) for the manufacture of Japan's very first forklift truck.
In ensuing years, TCM forklifts have earned a reputation as a world leader in forklift manufacturing and simultaneously have been introduced into global markets.

Since the 1980s, TCM began to deploy forklift manufacturing sites outside Japan under its globalization programme, and is currently engaged in forklift manufacture at three foreign factories-in the United States, Europe and China.

TCM, as an outstanding manufacturer backed by more than fifty years of accumulated expertise and technology, makes various models of versatile industrial trucks, widely reputed and used in the world.

1.5-3.0 tons (FG/D 15-30 series)

The most popular and multi-purpose industrial vehicles for all industries, worldwide, and thus TCM has been always and constantly paying greater efforts to refine and upgrade this TCM's core forklift trucks, able to meet ever changing requirements and needs by our customers.

As "Newsflash" of this website highlights, TCM redesigned this series and launched the first model of iNOMA forklift truck in 2005 and successively completed the full lineup of this series for global markets.

Having 1.5~3.5 ton loading capacity, iNOMA series with very fresh and appearance, represents various advanced features such as improved maneuverability, enhanced operator comfort, increased safety and durability, easy maintenance as well as mounting high power and eco-friendly engines (diesel, gasoline & LPG types), sufficiently clearing 2nd stage global emission controls.

3.5-5 tons (FG/D 35-50 series)

The ace vehicle of this class features higher engine-power, speedy loading and unloading of cargo, highly reputed noise-suppression performance, wide-view mast, and reliable power-assisted brakes. The trucks in this series outperform all other competitors' vehicles, and gasoline/LPG models are also available.

6-10 tons (FD60-100 series)

Equipped with the most powerful engine in this class (112ps. horsepower) that is environment-friendly in discharging cleaner emissions, (30% less smoke and 50% less toxic content).
Also, exceptionally outstanding lifting speeds (FD60-510mm/sec when loaded).

10 to 15tons (FD100-150 series)

Forklifts of worldwide excellent repute backed by many years' accumulated expertise and experiences for efficient, safe and environment friendly large cargo operations at harsh and severe workplaces like steel mills, marine terminals, shipbuilders, lumber yards, etc.

10 to 15tons (FD100-150 series)

There are several groups of models, depending on their applications, six models having lifting capabilities of 10-16 tons, four models for 16-23 tons, two models for 25-28 tons, two models for 28-30 tons, each group being equipped with high-tech features, distinct for their low noise levels, three-speed transmissions,
and powerful engines-the fastest lifting speed in this class.

Various unique and convenient attachments are available too, depending on your specified operations.

Punctuality and safe service are vital factors for container cargo handling at the terminal such as seaboard container yards, rail stations and airports. Efficiency is mandatory as well, in order to ensure optimum cargo operations. Thus, TCM developed several heavy-duty forklifts to perform ideal container handling for its customers as illustrated below.

37 to 43 tons (FB370-FB430)

I.C. Forklift Trucks equipped with special spreaders to easily and efficiently lift cargo filled heavy containers. The largest model, FD430-3 can easily stack up five loaded containers with faster lifting speeds. Other custom made top-lifters for container handling at rail terminals and Ro-Ro ship operations are available.

7 tons (Empty container handler)

Being equipped with special spreaders to safely, neatly and quickly handle empty containers at the terminals, TCM developed the new type vehicles focusing on several crucial features-excellent visibility, high-mounted pillar-less cabin, wider view mast, easy and tireless maneuverability, increased operation efficiency and operator friendliness as well.

Among many industrial vehicles, the role of battery powered forklift trucks are increasingly important, in particular,
at the workplaces, where lesser emission gas and cleaner air environment are regarded very essential. In fact, the emission gas regulation are getting more stringent, whereby, TCM has been paying more effort to upgrade and refine its electric forklift trucks, current models of which are displayed hereunder.

1 to 3 tons (FB10-30 series)

TCM products solve customers' forklift operational concerns: tricky material handling at cramped worksites; tiresome and, frequent battery replacement and the need to improve work efficiently. These have been largely improved by the state-of-the-art FB-VII series TCM electric forklift through superb functional breakthroughs that include the most compact b ody, easier access by more comfortable step and seat, sufficient battery power, and three operational mode shifts to perform the best suitable operations. TCM recently released eight new 1-3 ton FB-VII series models.
In addition, four high-power models (1.5-3 ton) are available for our customer's selection.

1.6 to 1.8 tons (FTB16-FTB18)

Electric three wheelers are extremely maneuverable, which enables easy and quick material handling within very confined and aseptic workplaces such as food-processing plants. With their unique characteristics, they continue to maintain a substantial share worldwide among industrial vehicles and North American and Europe claim an especially large market. Thus, TCM recently redesigned its three wheelers as FTB-VII series, specially focusing on upgrading basic performance and improving ergonomics, adding numerous safety devices and simplifying maintenance. In addition,
TCM believes that the smart and impressive fresh vehicle appearance is sure to gain the favorable attention and support of its customers. TCM FTB modles are indeed the the electric three wheelevs of tomorrow.

1 to 2.5tons (FB10-25 series)

This reach-type electric forklift offers an outstanding combination of loading performance and work efficiency. Its ability to pivot and sharp turns makes it especially suitable for cramped working areas such as warehouses. Major operating features include:

· The longest operating time in its class, achieved by a substantial reduction in power consumption (30%).

· Super regulated battery charging-the first for the industry.

· A fully automatic microcomputer-operated charger for a continuous, non-fluctuating power supply.

· An operator-friendly, shock-less cylinder for superb comfort and operating ease (vibration reduced by 65%and noise reduced by 20%).

Handy ACROBA-J Series

Both I.C. ACROBA (6 models-1.5-4tons) and Electric
ACROBA E (6 models-1.5-4 ton) are available, well reputable and widely accepted in various industries around the world, and its four industry first features-straight lateral movement, pivotal turning, a swivel seat and 2 X 2 hydrostatic drive system - are highly valued in all industries. In addition, handy and economical ACROBA-J series, succeeding the aforementioned features except the lateral movement, (11 I.C. models & 2 electric models) are available, too.
